We are proud to be close/one block from Queen’s Park which has well-groomed and safe walking tracks, the Queens Park Golf Course, fantastic botanical gardens, the distinctive ‘pyramid’ Art Gallery & Museum - with tuatara, café, aviary and an amazing children’s play area with animal enclosures. This is an area of our city that you can spend much time exploring.
We are centrally located to many wonderful Southland short trips.
STEWART ISLAND
Enjoy a trip on the ferry from Bluff (30mins from Invercargill to Bluff). Take a flight from Invercargill Airport. Experience golden beaches, prolific birdlife and friendly locals.
THE CATLINS
This spectacular coastline is a great drive on the Southern Scenic Route, with plenty of coastal wildlife, beautiful views, a fossil forest to discover, lighthouses and lovely beaches in every nook and cranny.
SOUTHERN SCENIC ROUTE
A great drive which runs from Dunedin through the Catlins right through to Te Anau, Fiordland. Stop off at Riverton or Colac Bay at waterfront restaurants for some seafood chowder, experience the wild south coastline with vast ocean views; the drive is spectacular, you won’t be disappointed!
